Richard "Hal" Halpin is the Manager of Educational Technology for the Technology Services and Informatics Department at the UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston. He is responsible for all systems and software used in to teach students at the School, including Blackboard, ExamSoft, Panopto and TurningPoint Audience Response System. He has extensive experience in adult education and can advise faculty on the best routes to integrate technology into their teaching.
Hal has an undergraduate degree in Archaeology from Bradford University in the UK and use to work for the Police there. Since coming to the US he has obtained a Masters degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston and is currently working on his doctorate.
