Nina Infante, RDH, MS, is an Associate Professor and Clinical Coordinator of the Dental Hygiene Program in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Amarillo College, Amarillo, Texas and her Master of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She is a member of ADHA, TDHA, GHDHS, and TDHEA.
Ms. Infante worked in private practice thirteen years prior to beginning her teaching career in 1986 at Amarillo College. In addition to serving as clinic coordinator and teaching in clinic, she has taught Ethics and Jurisprudence, Periodontology, Radiology , Special Patients and Seminar courses. In addition to classroom and clinical teaching, she participates in presenting continuing education courses.
She received the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award in 1995, 2001 and received the Lorna J. Bruning Outstanding Teaching award in 2011.
