New Magazine Invites Readers to 'Discover UTSD'

A new full-color magazine about The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston is now available in both print and interactive electronic editions. Volume 1, Number 1 of Discover UTSD includes articles, photographs and video links to UTSD events of 2012, as well as features about the school’s simulation clinic, the late Zeb Poindexter Jr., DDS, professor emeritus; new Associate Dean for Research Jacqueline Hecht, PhD; and Warren Adams, a retired teacher who’s been coming to UTSD for dental care since 1949.

UTSD Communications Manager Rhonda Whitmeyer said Discover UTSD will be published twice a year, with the next edition due in May and including fact-book information about the school.

The new magazine replaces UTSD Exchange, the school’s previous eight-page newsletter that primarily targeted alumni. Both publications were designed by Brian Schnupp of the UTSD Department of Technology Services and Informatics.
