The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston invites applicants for two full-time (1.0 FTE) funded, non-tenure, clinical educator position at the Assistant / Associate Professor level in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The applicant must have a dental degree recognized by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association and must have successfully completed advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at an accredited institution. Applicants with experience in major oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures, including facial esthetic surgery, will be strongly considered. A current license to practice dentistry or the opportunity to secure a Texas faculty license for dentistry within six months of employment will be required. Board certification or Board eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is also required. Responsibilities will include supervision of residents in both clinics and a hospital setting and teaching of dental students. Pursuit of scholarly activities is strongly encouraged.
