The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston invites applicants with an advanced education certificate in Endodontics to apply for a full-time tenure track or clinical educator track faculty position as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics. The applicant must have a certificate in Endodontics recognized by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, and either a current dental license in the United States or the ability to obtain a teaching license within the state of Texas. Responsibilities are primarily in pre-doctoral education and include didactic lecturing, course directing, pre-clinical instruction in the laboratory course and clinical teaching in the pre-doctoral clinic. Additional responsibilities include graduate teaching, research and service to the university and community. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The School of Dentistry is located in the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest medical center, which offers significant resources and important opportunities for collaboration and advanced training. In May of 2012, the School of Dentistry moved to a new building containing a 22 chair endodontic clinic with microscopes, digital radiography, and other state-of-the-art endodontic equipment in every operatory and a CBCT unit.
